When the City of Chicago O’Hare Modernization Program opened it's first new runway, and my sister invited my family to come join in the festivities. It was incredible - they had a race for the kids, some great food, emergency and contruction vehicles, and they bussed us all to walk on the new runway. If you look at this map, the runway we were on is the northernmost runway along the top going east to west. What a great day.
